WhatsApp Reaches 600 Million Users!

WhatsApp continues onward with their success by getting 600 million users! The Facebook owned company hit their last milestone of 500 million user in only April. The CEO and founder Jan Koum criticizes other instant messaging companies like Kik for only saying the amount of people registered than the people who use it. Facebook bought the company near the last milestone in April for $19 billion, but have left the app untouched.

Facebook will definitely try to monetize the app just like they did with Instagram by adding in some ads. I am sure they will because they need to reclaim some of the money that they spent on the app. Behind WhatsApp is WeChat with about 500 million users and then Viber with 100 million users.
