Google Wallet Will Be On Glass!
Google Wallet may be coming to Google Glass, according to a source close to the company. Google is currently testing a way for users to send money to their friends using Google Glass by saying “Send money.” The company is testing this right now, but will be available for all Google Glass users. To have the wallet service on their devices, Google Glass users have to be signed into a computer on Google’s corporate network. From there, they will have to install the wallet glassware and after setting up the service they will be ready to send money on their Google Glass.
Given that Google has given Gmail users a similar feature, it’s not a suprise that they brought it out for the Google Glass. When you would use it are the same for the Gmail version and the Google Glass version, you are out with your friend for lunch and you share the bill with your friend; you say “Send Money,” swipe through the interfaces and you’re done. By default, Google takes a 2.9 percent fee for these Wallet transactions or 30 cents — whichever is higher.
As usual, feel free to share your thoughts on Google Wallet through Google Glass.
Would you send money this way?
