Top 5 Smartphones of 2014
Introduction
Hi everyone,
Welcome to the Buzzpods Top 5 Smartphones of 2014! As I’m sure everyone knows, top 5’s are really quite popular these days so we decided to do one ourselves.
No.1 Motorola Moto X 2014
This phone has well and truly exceeded our expectations here at Buzzpods proving to the market that it is possible to create a stylish, elegant, customisable and feature-rich power house of a smartphone without sacrificing design, quality (cough: Samsung) and most importantly price. The Moto X is a beautiful device and should therefore definitely be on your wish list.
No.2 HTC One M8
The HTC One M8 is part of a long and successful line of smartphones and over the years, this phone just keeps getting better. The latest HTC One has a nice 5” 1080p display, a relatively clean version of android but most of all, the best design and build quality on the market, in my opinion. If there was one thing that I had to criticise about this phone it would the frankly disappointing megapixel count on the camera which is ironic given HTC’s extreme marketing emphasis on the duo camera trying to make it a major selling point.
No.3 Apple iPhone 6
In third place is the new iPhone 6. This smartphone was a massive leap forward for Apple in terms of size and options. Offering two screen sizes each in three different colours really made people think twice about moving over to android. The iPhone 6 was launched with flagship specs, beautiful design and the OS that many love, the perfect match for the simplistic, minimalistic and productive user.
No.4 OnePlus One
The OnePlus takes a strong fourth place as a result of its influence on the market and sheer value for your money. The OnePlus One was the first of its kind providing flagship specs, large screen and a desirable design all whilst maintaining an affordable price of between £229 and £269. We truly can’t wait to see more phones like it in 2015!
No.5 LG G3
The LG G3 launched quite early in 2014 and was one of the first phones in the world to have a massive screen resolution of 2560×1440! And it’s truly beautiful with a PPI of over 500. Along with the gorgeous display, the LG G3 has a nice design and competitive specs. Finally, due to it’s age at this point, you can usually find this phone for around £300 in the UK making it a no-brainer for someone who needs a large, super-high resolution smartphone.
