Nvidia SHIELD Tablet – What’s the Buzz
Alot of you may have heard of the Nvidia SHIELD portable gaming console which came out about 12 months ago but now, Nvidia has announced a SHIELD Tablet to be coming out on the 29th July in the US and Canada and 14th August in Europe this year. The Tablet has all the same cool, new and innovative features of the Nvidia SHIELD but in the form factor of a Tablet. This is interesting and I can definitely see this having a much wider range of real world applications over the clunky, aggressive looking SHIELD.
The Nvidia Shield Tablet will host almost identical specs to the Nvidia SHIELD with the addition of the brand new Nvidia Tegra K1 CPU (POWERFUL!) and a 8″ 1920×1200 display. It will also take some features from the previous Tegra Note Tablets that we have seen such as a stylus and 5MP camera.
The Nvidia Shield Tablet is of course still going to feature Gamestream technology which worked a treat on the SHIELD and an additional SHIELD Wifi controller will be available for purchase separately as well.
The Nvidia shield will be running Android KitKat at launch but may very well be capable of running Android L, which was recently announced
I think that this is a fantastic advance in the SHIELD lineup of products as the Tablet form-factor really does make this device applicable to real world situations where size is a big problem. Not only can this device be used for general media consumption, gaming and reading but also as a full multi-media hub of entertainment with it’s ability to output 4K media to your TV!

I found this description very persuasive. I was going to buy an iPad mini but I am going to have another think about it because this sounds like you get extra things than the iPad mini. And it definitely looks nicer.
