HP 7 Plus Android Tablet For $100, Launched In The US!
Finally, HP has learnt from their mistakes of last year from their HP 7 android tablets. While having mediocre specifications their last tablet was priced at $169 and as predicted by industry experts, did not do to well on the market. HP have now revised the pricing of their new HP 7 tablet. The new android tablet has a 7″ screen, the right specifications and a lower price of $100, which is the right price.
The new HP 7 Plus is a Wi-Fi only android tablet with a 7″ (1024 × 600 pixels) multi-touch LED backlit IPS display. Powered by a 1 GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor with 1GB RAM and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean); it has a 2-megapixel fixed focus rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
The HP 7 Plus offers 8GB of internal storage and comes with a micro SD slot for memory expansion. It also comes with 25GB of free lifetime storage with cloud storage service Box and includes Kingsoft Office software. It runs on a 2800 mAh battery.
The specs for a $100, Quad Core processor android tablet are quite good:
7 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel IPS display
1 GHz Allwinner A31 ARM Cortex-A7 processor
Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
1GB RAM
8GB storage + micro SD card slot
2MP rear camera and 0.3Mp front-facing camera
802.11b/g/n WiFi with Miracast wireless display support
2800mAh battery
7.6″ x 4.8″ 0.32″
10.4 ounces
The Tablet comes in white and is only sold in the US. We do not know yet if there is going to be any global availability for the tablet.
Overall, for me the Tablet will be a good alternative to the Apple Ipad mini because it is cheaper but still has good specs.
OVERALL RATING: 7/10
