Apple’s Carplay Beating Android?
Even though Apple did not announce their new Carplay at their WWDC Keynote last month, it does not mean that they have not eased up and improved on their car technology. Nine more companies have become partners with Apple to have their new Carplay technology in their upcoming cars. The new partners that were mentioned are Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Audi, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Mazda and Ram. This has made the total number of partners to have the CarPlay – 31. The models that will have the CarPlay during 2014 are Ferrari, Honda, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo. There are still manufacturers that are still trying to implement the new tech into their new models.
Also, all of the manufacturers that were told to us today have also pledged for the Android Auto, which has 28 partnerships. Just like your phones and tablets – Android and Apple have battled over the control of people and now your car! Unlike your phone that you change every time something better comes out, you keep your car for long until it is outdated or broken. So, now it will be an even harder choice to choose what car you want, whether you want Apple OS or Android OS.
